2014 Annual Meeting Information

Theme: “Perfectly Restored in Jesus”: Charles Wesley on Holiness and Sanctification
Location: Wilmore, Kentucky, using facilities at both Asbury University and Asbury Seminary
Dates: from the afternoon of September 25 through the morning of September 27, 2014
Lodging: rooms have been set aside at the Asbury Inn on the seminary campus. Call 859-858-2156 to reserve directly (n.b. the cost of housing [$79.95 per night] will not be included in the registration fee). Wilmore is also served by several B&B’s as well as nearby hotels in Nicholasville and Lexington, Kentucky.
Airport Shuttle Information: A shuttle to and from the airport can be arranged with the Asbury Inn for a separate fee.
Registration: Registration is now closed. Registration for the sightseeing tour and Friday’s catered dinner has also now closed.

1:00-2:20 Board meeting (Stranger Conference Room, 2nd floor of B.L. Fisher Library, Seminary building #7)
2:30-3:00 Charles Wesley Statue unveiling in front of Estes Chapel (Seminary building #17)
3:30-5:00  Paul Chilcote lecture: “All the Images of Thy Love: Charles Wesley’s Vision of the One Thing Needful,” University (Kinlaw Board Room in the Kinlaw Library, University building #18)
5:00 Dinner (Johnson Cafeteria, University building #14)
7:00-8:00  Coffeehouse with students/songwriter showcase (sharing of new creations and favorite Wesley hymns), (Morrison-Kenyon Student Center, University building #23)
Friday, September 26:
9:00-9:45 Campus tours, Seminary (meet in front of Asbury Inn, Seminary building #6)
10:00-10:45 University chapel, Lester Ruth and Jonathan Powers lead chapel: “Music, God’s Presence, and the Hem of His Garment” (Hughes Auditorium, University building #13, the CWS has reserved seats together)
11:00-11:45 Campus tours, University (meet in first floor lobby, Hager Administration Building, University building #10)
11:30-12:30 Lunch talk-back session for University students with Lester Ruth and Jonathan Powers, University (Dougherty Dining Room, Johnson Cafeteria, University building #14)
11:45  Lunch, choose from either the University (Johnson Cafeteria, University building #14) or Seminary cafeteria (Student Center, Seminary building #21)
1:00-3:15  Papers and presentations, 2 sessions simultaneously held on the University and Seminary campuses, choose one of the following:
