Excursion (by train) to Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Visit Brunswick Church, and site of the Orphan House, Kellmen’s Hospital (of which Charles Wesley was a chaplain); St. Andrew’s Church (where Charles Wesley married Grace Murray to John Bennet, also the tomb of Jane Smith, nee Vazeille, John Wesley’s daughter-in-law), the Literary an Philosophical Society.

The Charles Wesley Society’s 2013 annual meeting with the theme “Charles Wesley and the Mission of the Church” will be held 7-10 August 2013 at the Wesley Centre, located in Durham, England. Mark your calendars and save the date. For more information click here: 2013 Meeting Information.
